Ted Jablonski (he, him)

Some miracles are mighty, but mostly they are small.

Dr. Ted Jablonski is an award-winning teaching family physician based in Calgary, Alberta. 2024 marks his 40 th anniversary as a Canadian medical doctor (MD). In addition to family medicine, Jablonski is the Alberta medical lead for trans health e-referrals and Specialist link, while being a consultant to Skipping Stone Foundation and AHS OASIS program for cancer survivors. He is medical director of Jablonski Health doing speciality work in sexual and transgender medicine for Southern Alberta for over two decades.

Ted is a sought after national and international speaker, trainer, media spokesperson and educator with many conference, radio, television and video credits. His identification with the 2SLGBTQ+ community as an ally has inspired him to be a passionate advocate. He has been involved in the journey of over 2500 transgender, gender diverse and non-binary folks.

Jablonski has a life-long commitment to the arts as a creator, performer, administrator and promoter. “dr j” is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, as well as an author and playwright under the name TJ Jablonski.

With the “SAD no more Tour”, Ted successfully ran, cycled and spoke across Canada (Victoria BC to St. John’s NL) in 2010 to raise awareness of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and the stigma of mental illness. Jablonski was part of the “Faces for Mental Illness” campaign as a mental health survivor.

Ted and his wife Monique are proud parents of 2 amazing adult children and 2 wonderful grandchildren.
