Sylvie

Parent & Educator

My name is Sylvie, I am a cisgender woman born in Montreal. I am 51 years old and the mother of two amazing daughters, aged 15 and 20. My youngest daughter is transgender. Both of my daughters are my rays of sunshine! We are always together. I am also a high school teacher working in special education. Among other subjects, I teach Sexuality Education and Quebec Culture and Citizenship. Over the years, I have become a passionate advocate for LGBTQIA2+ rights and inclusion. I have completed training to be able to give talks on these topics in schools and workplaces. I work hard to educate people with the goal of creating a better world—one that is open and respectful to everyone. This is something I care deeply about. In my free time, I love nature—forests, lakes, and hiking. I also enjoy swimming and paddleboarding. I love reading and practicing yoga as well. I dream of a world without judgment, filled with love and compassion for my daughters and for the entire planet.
