Ben and Fayza

Community Members

Ben and Fayza are queer parents, partners and community members living on the unceded homelands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations. Their lens on life is informed by both their experiences as queer racialized people, and  by Ben being an adopted trans person and Fayza a cis, chronically-ill femme. They’re honoured to be raising their child surrounded by the unconditional love of their trans, non-binary and cis chosen family. Both Fayza and Ben long for a future where all gender expansive young people can be not only completely free in their expression and identities, as well as  believed, supported and celebrated by the adults in their lives and systems that surround them.
