Géorgie Gagné

2Spirit and transfeminine Community Advocate

Géorgie Gagné is a 2Spirit, transfeminine and francophone artist, advocate, and community-builder. Géorgie has a mixed heritage, with a Cree father from Cree First Nation of Waswanipi and a franco-québécoise mother. She is the founder of Géorgie Gagné (Communities & Solidarity), an agency that creates initiatives, transformative conversations, and supports community-building that enable intentionality, care, and dignity for all within community, advocacy, health, and education spaces. Through her work, she is interested in finding ways to facilitate and implement intersectional approaches, Indigenization and community accountability in various French and English-speaking settings. She also sits as a member of Fierté Canada's 2Spirit Council, of the CEPEO and the Limestone District School Board Indigenous Education Committees. Géorgie is a recipient of the 2023 Sapphire Award, awarded by the Fondation Franco-Ontarienne to highlight the work of women within the Francophonie, the 2024 Inclusion Boréal Award, awarded by the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes du Canada for her national efforts in creating safer spaces for all, and is one of The Bloom's 30 under 30 Global Social Impact Leaders.
